Alaska Passages Adventure Cruises

Seakayaking the Inside Passage

Alaska seakayaking, kayakOur cruises take us through a seakayaker's paradise. There are hundreds of miles of shoreline to explore, filled with hidden coves and streams. These undisturbed spots are great places to spot a bear on the beach or a family of otters fishing. You might also see deer, mink, moose or, if you're really lucky, a wolf patrolling the beach. In some of the areas we paddle you might encounter seals, sea lions or possibly even a whale!

Cruising on the Heron we are able to take you to some prime spots for paddling. In our many years of exploring these waters we have learned where these secret places are. We travel in comfort between them, covering distances that would take weeks by paddle. At the end of the day there's a great meal, a hot shower and a comfortable bed.

Our sea kayaks are very stable and no previous experience is required. We've had people of all ages enjoy this activity. Use of the kayaks is included with your cruise.

Hiking

beachcombing

We have several options for hiking and beachcombing during our trips. They vary from easy to energetic. A leisurely stroll on a wilderness beach to look for wildflowers or check on life in the tide-pools is always popular. We can hike up to some spectacular waterfalls or a little farther to some alpine lakes.glacier trek

An exciting trek is a hike we can take up to the face of a glacier then actually up onto the ice for about a half mile. Watch out for the Arctic Terns nesting along the way.
